Tickets are on sale!

That’s right folks! Everything is falling into place and tickets are on sale!

We have general admission at $50 each and Community Sponsors at $150 (if you love WordPress that much and are able to contribute that little bit extra to the community).

Perhaps you love WordPress and don’t have the funds for a community sponsorship, but do have some time to contribute. If that’s the case, please register your interest to volunteer.

A note about sports

We got some complaints about scheduling WordCamp during football finals in 2014. None of the organising team in 2014, or 2016, are sports fans and this did escape our notice in 2014. We actually tried not to have this problem this year; we checked as best we could that we weren’t going to clash with a popular sports event. Apparently we failed, or more accurately, the dates were not published before we chose our date, and even after they were published they are pretty difficult to find!

The AFL and NRL preliminary finals are on the last weekend of September. The good news is that AFL will not be in Sydney and should not affect plane and accommodation prices; it is also played at night, so you can still attend WordCamp and watch the game. I don’t know where or when the NRL is going to be played. Hopefully, it won’t affect us logistically!
